Arlene Canuel Martinez passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021 surrounded by family.

Arlene was born in Mineola, New York on February 18, 1943. She moved to West Melbourne, Florida in 1975 with her family and parents. She and her family were active parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes. She retired from the DMV as a county clerk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Canuel (1988), and her parents George and Marie Klug. She is survived by her husband William R. Martinez. Her sons Joseph Canuel (Patricia), Stephen Canuel (Wendy), William Martinez (Denise) and Laura Simansky (Thomas). Her grandchildren Brigette and Brittany Martinez, Logan Vest, Taylor Canuel, JP Canuel, and Aiden Simansky.

A vigil service will be held at Brownlie-Maxwell on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5-7 pm. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 12 pm. Reception following mass service.
