Betty Marie Yoest was born April 9, 1942, in Blairsville, Pennsylvania to Elizabeth and Grant McIntire. She was surrounded by a large family, with six brothers and two sisters Steve, Charles, Grant, Ray, Rose, Sam, Denny, and Ruth Ann.
She married her best friend and love of her life, Jack Yoest, on November 21, 1962. In the coming years they built a life together and had their two children John F. Yoest, III and Jennifer (Yoest) Wadsworth. She loved and watched over her family with such care and compassion.
In 1975 Betty came to know Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She shared the love of Christ with everyone she met, not just in words, but in actions. In 2009 she was preceded in death by her husband Jack, whom she loved dearly. In the Spring of 2011, she moved to Melbourne to live with her daughter Jennifer and her son-in-law Randy Wadsworth. Betty loved Randy as a son and was so thankful for the love and care that was shown to her as she lived in their home.
Betty adored her grandchildren. From playing games, making crafts, talking on the phone, or having pizza on the beach she cherished every moment she had with them all. Carrie and Brent Pichard, John F. Yoest, IV, Justin Yoest, Jordan Yoest, and great-grandchildren Noah, Seth, and Emma Pichard.
In the last 10 years, Betty devoted her time to being a dedicated volunteer for many prayer lines. She faithfully prayed for people’s needs all over the world. She also enjoyed crocheting and talking to her family and friends on the phone throughout her days. The sweetest treasures in the last years came from “The Twins”. Her precious puppies, Bella and Beau. They were the best companions and she loved them so much. Mummy, Ma, Grandmama, you radiated love to everyone. She is dearly missed already by everyone in her life. We hold on to the promise of eternal life in heaven that she so often shared with us all. This is a see ya later, not a forever goodbye.
