Carolyn Nelson, 90, of Palm Bay, FL, has left her earthly home on April 12, 2022 and has joined her husband of 69 years in heaven under God’s care. A memorial celebrating her life will be held at the Church On The Rock, located at 4028 S. Babcock St, Melbourne, FL 32901 on Saturday April 30th, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
Carolyn was born May 24, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to Paul and Dorothy Grabiel. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother John (Beverly) Grabiel. She is survived by her brother Paul (Jacqi, dec.) Grabiel.
Carolyn is also survived by three children: Deborah (John) Thieme; Rebecca (Rick) Ross; and Paul (Denise) Nelson. Carolyn is further survived by her fifteen grandchildren and their spouses: David (Sarah) Thieme; Becky (Brett) Stebbins; Rachel (Erik) Ernst, Nathan (Molly) Taubitz; Sarah (David) Wood; Zachary; Emily (James) Rader; Samuel (MaryRose); Malachi; Gabriel; Hosanna; Josiah; Talitha; Aleiyah; and Livia. And if that weren’t enough, Carolyn is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren: Abigail, Emma, Megan, Isaiah, and Ezekiel (Thieme); River, Maia, Bodhi, Bella and Connor (Taubitz); Lucas, Anika, Sadie, Cole, Cade (Stebbins); Evan and Meredith (Ernst).
Carolyn worked very hard creating a warm home for her ever-growing family. She also shared her strong and heavenly voice with the world for 90 years. She lent her Christian service to the community: singing in the Sweet Adelines and church choir; drawing beautiful portraits; creating costumes for church and countless other musical productions, and sewing dresses for little girls in Africa.

A memorial service will be held at the Church on The Rock Saturday April 30 at 3PM
