Charles David Doyle Jr. departed this life suddenly, on June 23rd, 2020 at Holmes Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 28, 1967, in St.John’s, Antigua, West Indies, during the time that his Dad was working with the NASA Space Program Down Range with the objective of landing a man on the the moon. Charles was the son of Charles David Doyle Sr, and Judith de Freitas Doyle. At the age of one, his parents brought him to the United States.

Charles received his education in Brevard County, and was a graduate of Melbourne High School where he was very active in the Junior ROTC Program. He received his Associate of Arts Degree from Brevard Community College, and attended the University of Central Florida. He worked as a food service clerk.

Charles enjoyed travelling, loved all things “Star Trek”, and loved. computers, especially his lap-top. He was an avid collector of comic books, and did very well in playing along with the program JEOPARDY at home. Charles was also a history buff. He served on the Caribbean Festival Committee — a philanthropic committee of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, that formerly raised funds to help in natural disasters in the Caribbean, Central America, as well as, the United States.

Most of all, Charles loved the Lord, and has served as President of the Tom Fox Chapter of the Acolyte Guild at the Church of Our Savior for much of his life. He received numerous awards for his work with young people. Charles remained a faithful servant of the Lord, and a server at the altar from childhood until he passed away.

Charles David Doyle Jr. was pre- deceased by his Father, Charles David Doyle Sr., and is survived by his Mother, Judith de Freitas Doyle; Sisters, Doris Doyle Corbett, ( Tallahassee, FL.) and Theresita R. Doyle; Aunts: Teren David (Jacob), Dorothea Brown, Vivian Roberts ( Rupert), Carolyn Gonsalves Roberts (Phil), Jennifer Gonsalves. Uncles: Ernest de Freitas, Phil de Freitas (Georgina), Whitson Gonsalves (Camelita), All of Canada and England. In addition, Charles leaves to mourn his passing a host of cousins in Antigua, the United KIngdom as well as, the United States, and God Mother, Ethelyn de Freitas,( New York.)

A viewing will be held at Brownlie – Maxwell Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., on July 2nd at 1010 Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne. A Funeral Mass will follow on Friday, July 3rd at 11:00 A.M. at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, 1000 Jersey Lane N.E., Palm Bay 32905 ( Adjacent to Veterans Memorial Park-off Port Malabar Boulevard). A short viewing will be held before the service from 10:00A.M. to 1100 A.M..

It is requested that families wear masks at all events, and comply with social distancing guidelines.
