Clarence H. Riley, III (aka Larry, Sonny) of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully with his two daughters by his side. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones in the previous hours to his passing.

Born on May 9, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was 88 years old.

He was predeceased by his wife and mother of his two daughters, Kathleen (Kass) C. Riley; sister-in-law/daughter Mary Jane Breede; parents Clarence H. Riley, Jr. and Catharine E. Riley and his sister Cathleen Revelas.

Clarence is survived by his daughters Colleen James and Kimberly Anderson; son-in-law Donald; brother Marty; sister-in-law Terry; grandchildren Nicole and her husband Andy, Jerry, Andrew, Aaron, Janelle and her husband Josh, Donnie and his wife Chelsea, Kyle, Heather and Chad. His great grandchildren are Addison, Kinsley and Kyle, Jr.

Larry’s (Pop’s) proudest achievements in life were serving in the United States Marine Corps (USMC); working as a hairdresser and salon owner, restaurant owner, real estate broker/agent as well as office owner. He was most proud of being a husband, father, brother, grandfather (Pop), and great grandfather (Pop). He will be greatly missed and is now at peace with his wife Kass.

The family will attend an early mass at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church followed by a private burial.

The Family will host a Celebration of Larry’s life later that afternoon with a potluck gathering for family and friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Police, 1049 Julia Drive, Melbourne, Florida 32935.

Anyone wishing to join in celebrating Larry’s life with memories and stories are welcome. A dish, side, or something of the sort would be appreciated since we are doing this potluck style. Thank you.

Pops was a great man! Wonderful sense of humor and always so welcoming of extended friends and family. I remember as a kid passing the purple porpoise beachside one of his favorites and thinking of him! Prayers to you all during this difficult time.
