David Alden Sanders, 92, was born February 12, 1934 in Council, Virginia to the late Fielden and Ida Pearl (James) Sanders and passed away on March 29, 2026 in Melbourne, Florida.
David was a US Army veteran and for 43 years a Brakeman/Conductor with Norfolk-Southern Railway.
He is survived by daughter, Deborah Sanders of Madisonville, Kentucky; son, Kyle Sanders and wife Cynthia of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandson Aleric Sanders and wife Kendal of Sandston, Virginia and great-grandson, Holden.
David was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Louise Marie Wilson Sanders; daughter, Dolores Renee Sanders; brothers, Estel, Chester, and Norman Sanders.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date in Tazewell, Virginia with inurnment to follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia.
