Edward John Erbar

Born on May 9, 1961 in Huntington, New York
Departed on August 21, 2020 in Melbourne, Florida

Edward John Erbar, 59 passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020. A native of East Northport, NY he moved to Florida in 1980
and in 1984 Graduated from UCF with a BSBA in Marketing. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity where he often portrayed Santa Claus for Children’s Charities.

A heart bigger than life, he never failed to make people feel welcomed, smile or laugh, there was always a story to be told. He loved the outdoors, a good golf game, cheering on a NY team in the NBA or MLB, and always voiced an opinion in a Political Debate. Above all his greatest joy was his daughter Emily who enters school as a Sophomore at Sayre High School in Lexington, KY. They shared a special bond, the proudest dad, beaming with happiness when speaking about her and accomplishments in Academics and or Sports. He loved his Dachshund and was always sharing Reese’s canine accomplishments too. Ed loved history, especially the one of our family, sharing photos of days gone by. He was a leader, he was a listener, he was loving and we will miss him.

Surviving Edward is his mother, Dorothy Erbar, daughter Emily Hardeman Erbar, Sister, Kim Conley (Michael Decker), Nieces, Mackenzie Conley & Traci Dauplaise, Nephew, Christopher Dauplaise, a Great Niece Kylee, Great Nephews, Tyler, Steven, and Blake as well as several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday August 28 from 5pm to 8pm with a service at 6pm at Brownlie – Maxwell Funeral Home.

While flowers are appreciated the family also welcomes donations to his mother Dorothy.

Traci, Kim and all the family. I am so sorry for you loss of your beloved uncle and brother. It's only comforting to know he illness was brief and perhaps his suffering on this earth was not long. What a joyous reunion he is sharing with his sister Heidi in heaven. Prayers for comfort for you all. Love you. Pat, Tom and the kids.

Met Ed through his sister Heidi, who predeceased him. He was always ready with a good joke or two. May he rest in peace, with his brother and sister.
