He was born May 14, 1950 in Langdale, Alabama to William E. Robbins and Betty A. Robbins. Ed moved to Melbourne with his family in 1963 and graduated from Melbourne High School. He was a member of the 1966 State Championship Football Team.

Ed is predeceased by his father William E. Robbins and mother Betty A. Robbins.

Ed is survived by his wife Rose of 50 years; daughters Sonya Reed (Jeff), Rachel Robinett; brother Allen Robbins (Brenda) and grandsons Randy Vann, Evan Robinett and Aiden Robinett.

Ed retired from his welding business and continued to enjoy fishing. He was an avid and skilled fly fisherman with his Fly fishing club. He wore out many fishing poles.
