Emmy Lea Richard

Born June 20, 2011 in Macon, Georgia
Passed November 15, 2024 in Melbourne, Florida

In loving memory of Emmy Lea Richard.

Our beautiful Emmy Lea Richard gained her wings and went to be with our Lord on November 15, 2024. She was born on June 20, 2011 in Macon, Georgia to Justin and Kristina Richard. She was the joy of their life.

Emmy attended Longleaf Elementary School and was in 8th grade at Johnson Junior High School at the time of her passing. At Johnson Junior High she was a member of the Cambridge Program and the National Junior Honor Society. She was also a member of Dance Mania’s Junior Jazz Small and Junior Variety All Star Teams. She was a talented and beautiful dancer and loved showing off her hard work with some of her best friends by her side. Emmy attended Faith Fellowship’s Vacation Bible School for many years as a student. It was always one of the highlights of her summer. When she became too old to attend, she became a volunteer to help other children learn God’s love.

To know Emmy meant to know her beautiful smile, and she was always smiling. Her spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and was a devoted sister to her brother, Grady. You could find Emmy always looking out for her brother and teaching him to do many things. She will forever be his protector and supporter. Her family was her world, and she filled their lives with joy and unforgettable memories. She believed in spreading kindness and always did so through both her actions and words, which will be a legacy that she leaves behind for all of her loved ones.

Emmy embraced life with open arms and showed us to love fiercely and live fully present. She loved her cats, Maeve and Millie, her rabbit, Moose, and her new puppy, Nelli. Her boundless love for animals mirrored her gentle heart, reminding us of the beauty of kindness. She was an advocate for animal rescue and adoption.

Emmy is survived by her parents, Justin and Kristina Richard, and her brother, Grady, her grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11 am at Faith Fellowship Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow at 1:00 pm at 3965 Lakebreeze Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, her parents are requesting that you honor Emmy by supporting the search for a cure for her brother’s CTNNB1 syndrome (www.curectnnb1.org) or by donating to the local humane society, animal shelter, or animal rescue.
