Gertrude (Trudy) Tedford, 102, was born September 4,1920 in Port Jervis, New York, daughter of David Middleton and Mary Doty and passed away on January 24, 2023 in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Trudy received her Nursing Degree from University of The State Of New York 1941.
A longtime resident of Eau Gallie, FL she was an active member in St Pauls’ Methodist Church in Eau Gallie, Gardenettes, and Tempo Club. After her children were grown, she continued to work in the medical field for many years.
Trudy and her former spouse Dr. Arthur Tedford had four children, Arthur, Patricia, Barbara, and David.
A proud grandmother of four grandchildren, Heather Albright (Dan), Brian Bolton, Brooke Tefft (Gary), Lauren DeNeve (Jason Bacher) and three great grandchildren Colin Albright, Mason Tefft, Bradley Bacher.
She is survived by her three children Arthur Tedford, Barbara DeNeve (Rick), David Tedford. Surviving nephews & nieces Melvin Decker, Harold Marchant. Joan Lane, Mary Perkowski, Kathleen Gregory.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, former spouse, daughter Patricia McGowan, daughter-in-law Velma Tedford, brother, Donald Middleton, sisters, Grace Decker, Emma Marchant. nephew, Robert Decker
So many close family friends graced her life as well as their children. She was always so appreciative of them keeping up with her throughout the years.
A celebration of life will be held at Brownlie/Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne, Florida on February 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
