My sweet, wonderful brother, Jackie. We don't have you anymore, but we have our memories. Growing up in Pompano and spending the weekends at the beach in Pompano and Ft. Lauderdale. Mom made the best food and Dad (cap intended) played with us in the ocean for hours. It was their secret weapon to exhaust us all. You walked me to school for many years. We did homework together. We were friends. We'll always be brother and sister. I made you cookies and we packed new socks and underwear in those many boxes sent to Vietnam. I still have your letters, including the ones that were returned when you couldn't be found. The dark days were followed by light, as life goes. You came back to us, but next time, we'll have to come to you. We'll all be along shortly, as Heaven time goes. Now, you're not there to answer the phone. I'll miss your voice. It was Dad's voice and your sense of humor was his, too. We lost him again when you left. I know you're with Mom and Dad. Then, there are the critters. Molly, Murphy, Jenny Poo-Poo Bear and Stevie Kitty. Oh, how they'll love to be with you again. I'll stay close to the sister you gave me in your wonderful wife, Jane. You were blessed beyond all compare when you found Janie Bear. Our hearts are just broken. The human tongue has no capacity to describe the love or the pain. Godspeed my sweet brother. Until then...
