Jamie Richardson

Jamie Richardson, 66, of West Melbourne, Florida passed under hospice care on June 6, 2023. He was born in Yale, Michigan on August 10, 1956 to Burnell and Christa Gertrude Klosig Richardson.

He was an amazing carpenter his entire life, the last few years he was working for the Moyers in Merritt island who were great to him. Jamie really enjoyed being with his grandsons; they couldn’t have asked for a better papa. He enjoyed going out on his airboat and hunting. He loved the marsh and found it extremely relaxing every time he went out there. He spent a lot of time at the shooting range and buying different guns for his collections as well as enjoying making his own bullets for reloads. A jack of all trades, he was a very hard worker and had a very big heart, always helping anyone whenever he could.

Jamie’s family includes his daughter Samantha (Lance) Batten; grandchildren Aiden, Avery, and Adam; sister Pam Arias; brother Jeff (Sandy) Richardson; sister Jody Lequear; brother Tom (Karen) Richardson and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Burnell & Christa. His main focus was making sure his daughter and his grandsons were taken care of and had everything they needed. His family couldn’t have been blessed any more with a better daddy and grandpa. His family will miss him every single second that passes and find comfort knowing he is still watching over them.

A celebration of Jamie’s life will begin at 5 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida.
