Lennard Anderson, 89, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 28, 1934, to Georgia (Shaffer) and Leonard Anderson Sr. in Lawrence, Kansas. He grew up in Warren, Pennsylvania and Western New York. Lennard served honorably in the US Army for four years. After marrying, he lived and raised his family in both Olean, New York and Tavares, Florida. He worked in distribution sales, T.G. Lee milk delivery, and Arnold bread delivery, and most importantly as a devoted father and grandfather.

He moved to Tavares, Florida in 1971 and lived in Lake County until this year. He was active in many military and civic clubs including Amvets Post 1992, VFW of Mount Dora, and the Eustis Moose Lodge 874. Lennard enjoyed humor, dancing, old cars, and playing games with friends and family. He will be forever remembered by his family as generous, outrageously funny, heart-filled, and deeply loved.

Lennard was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen (Anderson) Groves. He is survived by his daughter Karen (Anderson) Landy of Melbourne, Florida and son Craig Anderson of Winter Garden, Florida and his eight grandchildren: Lindsay Groves, Emily (Groves) Downey, Patrick Landy Jr., Kristen Landy, Beth Landy, Stephen Landy, Melanie Landy, and Ethan Anderson.

There will be a visiting hour at 10am on Thursday October 5, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 11am at Hope Lutheran Church, 4541 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, Florida. A military burial will be held at 2:15pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, Florida.
