Louise Marie Sanders, age 83 of Melbourne, Florida and formerly of Bluefield, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born April 16, 1939, to the late Luther Wilson and Dortha Jane Compton Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Delores Renee Sanders; sisters Callie Virginia Wilson Dishman, Gladys Arlene Wilson Sauders, and Nora Emajean Wilson Welsh; and brother Attlas O’Dell Wilson.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, David A. Sanders; daughter Deborah L. Sanders and fiancé Jerry Bowles of Madisonville, Kentucky; son Kyle A. Sanders and wife Cynthia of Virginia Beach, Virginia; brothers Verlin (Joe) Wilson and wife Dottie of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Isaac (Lawrence) Wilson and wife Loretta of Richlands, Virginia; and grandson Aleric A. Sanders and wife Kendal of Sandston, Virginia.
The family is grateful to Dr. Ashta and the Wuesthoff Hospice team for the care they provided.
A gathering of family and friends will be held December 19, 2022, from 1 pm until 2 pm at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, Virginia where a memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm with the Reverend Nate Thomas officiating. Inurnment will be private at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia.
