Marguerite Marie Goyette Cavanaugh passed away peacefully on Saturday March 16, 2024.
Born in Winchendon Massachusetts on June 4, 1925, Marguerite eventually moved to Washington, DC where she met and married John F. Cavanaugh. Together they raised their six children.
She was a mother, government worker and pillar of her church community.
Marguerite is survived by five children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her husband and eldest daughter preceded her in death.
Known as Maggie by her friends, memere by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and mom to her children, she will be missed.
She will always be remembered as a positive person who encouraged faith, love and charity. Maggie was adventurous, fun and full of energy. We will all keep her kindness and hope in our hearts. God speed mom!!
