Mark F. Lowe

Born on December 23, 1959 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Passed on April 1, 2026 Melbourne, Florida

It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mark F. Lowe, beloved husband and dedicated public servant. Mark passed away suddenly on April 1, 2026, in Melbourne, FL at the age of 66 years old. He was born December 23, 1959, in Ft. Sill, OK to his late parents, Thomas A. Lowe and Kathleen B. Lowe.

Stalwart in the community, Mark dedicated over 30 years to a law enforcement career, culminating in his retirement as Police Chief at the Republic (Missouri) Police Department in January 2015. While retired, Mark enjoyed spending time in his N.C. home, collecting, and tasting bourbons, shooting, and spending time with family and friends.

However, Mark needed more in his retirement, so he chose to become an instructor at Eastern Florida State College. For the last 10 years, he shared his knowledge, wisdom, and numerous experiences to instruct the future generation of law enforcement officers. With a patient heart and a sharp wit, Mark turned even the toughest subjects into memorable experiences.

Mark leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the thousands of cadets, officers, friends, and family who were touched by his wisdom, patience, compassion, tenacity and dedication. He touched the lives of all who had the honor of knowing him. Mark was devoted, had a caring demeanor, and a generous spirit which will be forever remembered.

Mark is survived by his wife, Virginia Lynn Roserio Lowe. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas M. Lowe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 2:00pm till 4:00pm at Eastern Florida State College, Melbourne campus, Bldg. 8, Room 233, 3865 North Wickham Rd. Melbourne, Fl. 32935.

Mark would come and visit me to see how I was doing after Ed died. I will always remember him for that. He was a good man.
