Maudie Wertz Davis passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 14th 2022.
She was born in Harrisburg, PA and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1958. She moved to Brevard County in 1961 from Altoona, PA.
She was a Preschool Teacher at Harbor City Baptist Church in Melbourne, FL for several years. She then went on to work in Central Scheduling at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL for well over 20 years. Many people still remember Maudie from the many years she worked at Holmes.
In her retirement she enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was an active long-standing member of Eau Gallie First Baptist Church. She volunteered in the church library for many years with her dear best friend Patsy, stocking books and reading to children.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Edmund “Ed” Davis.
Daughters Sheryl Procter of Hurstbourne, KY and Lori Pyron of W Melbourne, FL.
Her Grandchildren James “Jimmy” Morosetti of Orlando, FL. Jeremy Morosetti of Jacksonville, FL. Lynsie Pyron of Indialantic and Dylan Pyron of W Melbourne, FL.
Also her Great Grandchildren Breckenridge and Adelaide.
A celebration of life will be held at Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, July 21st at 11:00am.
