Patti Routh, 83, of Indialantic, Florida, a Christian, passed on January 5, 2023 with her loving husband of 56 years by her side, along with her daughter, son, his wife and her grand-daughter. She was born on August 27, 1939, in Rockford, Illinois to Carl and Marion Ahlgren.

Patti is survived by her devoted husband Wayne Routh; her sister Judy (Rick) Martens of Las Cruces, New Mexico; brother Richard Algren of Jacksonville, Florida; her son Ronald (Joyce) Routh of Melbourne, Florida; her daughter Laura (John) Soultanian of Orange Park, Florida; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; as well as many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Marion Ahlgren; her brother Carl (Cully) Ahlgren; her son Charles (Chuck) Routh; and her grand-son Anthony Hendry.

Patti was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother (Meme) and great grandmother (Beautimas!). Patti and Wayne were married in 1966 at the Cupid Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, blessed with three children. During their lives together, they lived in New Mexico, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Texas, and settled in Florida. Patti worked as a secretary throughout her life. She was well-known as “Ma Routh” in Exeter and Stratham serving as the school secretary in Public Education. She never forgot to recognize someone’s birthday or honor Jesus at Christmas with her many personal cards she hand-wrote and mailed. Patti and Wayne purchased a cattle ranch in Llano Texas in 2005 and raised cattle on 100+ acres. They routinely opened their ranch to family and friends throughout the years and made many new friends in Castell, Texas. Patti loved to listen to Country Music, read, watch golf, Jeopardy, Wheel of Future & of course Days of Our Life, gamble in casinos, play SkipBo, scrabble and card games with her family. She was always working on a jigsaw puzzles and encouraged anyone who stopped by to help her. Patti will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, laugh, hugs and unfailing love.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, January 14, at Brownlie & Maxwell Chapel, 1010 Palmetto Ave., Melbourne, Florida 32901. A reception will follow for family and friends.
