PRESTON RAY COOPER, 88, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Ray was a native of Kentucky, born July 26, 1934, the fifth child of seven, to Preston Combs Cooper and Charlie Mae Basham Cooper. His childhood was spent in Vanzant, Kentucky, Owensboro, Kentucky and Louisville, Kentucky.
On May 14, 1949, in Tell City, Indiana, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of 14.
On October 13, 1956 he married Barbara Lee Dunn of Louisville. Together Ray and Barbara served their entire married life of 60 years as ministers in the evangelizing work of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Ray is preceded in death by his most beloved wife, Barbara; his parents, two brothers, Hugh and Edwin Cooper, and sister Edna Messinger.
Ray leaves behind one brother, Charles Cooper, and two sisters, Shirley Cooper and Frances Hurst. He also leaves behind many members of the Dunn family, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, at 1990 Fallon Blvd. NE, Palm Bay, Florida 32907
