Renee Kaleth Hughes died Peacefully May 19, 2020 at the age of 94. A retired Detroit Public School Teacher she was born in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Northwestern University where she was a member of the ZTA Sorority. She was also a member of the American Association of Women, Sorority Panhellenic Association, Northwestern Alumni Group and she was a former Henry Ford Cottage Hospital Volunteer. Sister of the late Robert Kaleth. Loving mother of sons Gary and Todd Hughes, daughter Kimberly (Fred) Miller and eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Memorial Service to be scheduled.

I remember my dear friend Renee when many years Ago invited me to pray the rosary with her group of friends
She came up to me after holy mass One morning and introduced herself to me and invited me to come and pray the rosary with her and her friends
I was surprised by her offer no one had invited me before
And this invitation sparked the beginning of my dedication to pray the rosary daily with her group that met after morning mass
Thank you my dear friend Renee for this gift you offered me that day and our friendship that blossomed thru our praying the rosary together all these years ago
She always said to me “my Jesus I trust in you “
