Rev. William Joseph King (Colonel, Chaplain, USAF Ret.), age 97 of Melbourne, FL passed away on October 30, 2018. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November, 15, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Vacaville, CA where he served as the Founding Pastor.
A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 11:00am at Advent Lutheran Church, 700 N Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL.

I’m the son of Chaplain Carroll Anderson. I can’t tell you how often my parents shared stories about Bill & Claresse. Bill & Dad served together in the early 50’s in Texas. Bill was a Captain & dad was a LT. They would be out & about together & would stop for lunch. Dad would have to go in & get their food, they also would have to leave & find a place to eat in the car. Claresse & mom went to Piggly Wiggly & nobody said anything, they new Claresse & Betty were from the base & Officers wives. Mom & I we’re talking about the Christmas show on base Bill & Carroll organized, already ready to go, and it’s cancelled due to rain. Now they got a real donkey for the show, guess who took care of the donkey? Mom remembers the call, “Carroll, I have one wet donkey hereI” They liked working together, the tall Swede from Minnesota & the pride of Selma, Alabama.
