Stephen Alicino, 74, of Cape Canaveral FL, passed away June 9, 2020 after a long illness.
“Steve” was born November 17, 1945 in the Bronx, NY, to the late Joseph F. and Loretta Alicino. Steve, their fourth child, was their second son, so his Dad called him “Even Stephen.” Later their family grew to include two more daughters, and eventually a second family after Loretta suddenly passed away in 1953.
Steve was a Real Estate agent and an entrepreneur. First in New Jersey, then after moving to South Florida in 1980, he and his wife Cindy, had operated Auto Insurance Agencies, and then he branched into other ventures and Real Estate. He started Pro Fantasy Tours, opening Joe Robbie Stadium in 1987. Steve grew up in New Jersey and was a graduate of South Plainfield (NJ) High School and East Texas State University. Steve served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1963-1969 as a Radio Operator and Sharpshooter. A resident of Cape Canaveral, since 2002, Steve was a communicant and an Usher for Our Savior’s Catholic Church, Cocoa Beach, Fla.
Steve and his wife, Cindy were married 41 years on June 3, 2020. His survivors include his children and (grandchildren): son Stephen Alicino and Wendy (Leah Isabella); daughter Nicole and David Weinick, (Madison and Austin); daughter Donna Alicino and Andrew Brogan (Declan). Siblings and their spouses include: his sisters – Joan Greenberg, Regina Desvernine (Richard), Trish Orchard (Trevor), Andrea Murphy (Robert), Monica Alicino, and Veronica Alicino (Tim Hill); and his big brother, Joseph F Alicino, Jr. (Maureen). Step sisters include: Kathleen Nowak and Erin Flynn. He was predeceased by step brothers Peter A. Flynn, and John J. Flynn. With their blended family there are 25 nieces and nephews, and 35 grand nieces and nephews.
Steve was an avid NY Rangers and Panthers fan, and enjoyed horse racing. He loved trips to the Islands and Key West. Steve had a lot of great times with his friends and his dear family. You will be greatly missed, we all love you Steve.
