Theresa Ellen Heen

Born on December 5, 1959 in Darby, Pennsylvania
Departed on March 24, 2021, in Palm Bay, Florida

Theresa Heen was a hardworking and passionate nurse for over 25 years. She graduated at the top of her class from Villanova University in PA – class of 1982. She worked at Sebastian Hospital, Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm, also working as a home health care nurse treating patients from the Vietnam War who were affected by agent orange and many more, and she was very proud of her time she contributed in the cardiac cath lab. She loved helping others.

She was always proud of her achievements working as a model for Estee Lauder, and attaining her black belt in karate. She loved swimming, studying, and supporting the arts especially dance. One of her dreams was to go back to teaching one day- the course she wanted to teach was on ekgs. She purchased the book last year, and would always enjoy reading and keeping up. She loved learning and studying.

She has had an unconditional love for her children. She always encouraged her daughter Cindy Heen to follow her dreams. She was fighting to get better in her final days, drawing great motivation by watching her daughter dance and accomplish her own dreams. She always encouraged her to follow her heart, be kind, and have understanding .

She was a great friend to many, and would be the one to take the shirt off her back and give it to them. Her family of people were from Dollar Tree, CVS, the Dr’s office, and more. She loved her best friend Claudia. And joined her other best friend in heaven Aunt Cece, and her dad Tom.

Mrs. Heen was not just a mother of 3. She was a mother to all of her children’s friends, too. They loved her like a second mother. Her heart was so big, and she never missed a chance to show that. She was so supportive and loved to build people up. She had a way of making you feel important, and that says so much about who she was. There was a warmth about Mrs. Heen that will not soon be forgotten. Everyone will remember her for her kindness and the way her laughter filled a room. May she rest in heaven.

She is survived by her daughters Cindy and Theresa; son, Kevin; Mother, Theresa; Nestor; Mike; her brothers, Bill and Tommy; her sister, Colleen; sister in law, Sandy; her best friend Claudia and son Evan; James; and many more.

A memorial service will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, April 23rd at 12PM.

Rest In Peace, Theresa. I was taken in by your family at an early age, and grew to care deeply for your children, my friends, Theresa, Cindy, and Kevin. All though your journey is over, I watch as your children continue to strive and make their way in this world. Love you and see you when the time comes. ~HLY~
