Verna Davis was born on December 8, 1942 in Micco, Florida to John and Mary Brown. Verna passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness. She is preceded by Dave Davis her husband of 46 years.
Verna was one of nine siblings and had a large extended family and many life-long friends. Her family includes her sisters Margaret Redfern, Laura Conner, Jeanette O’Meara and Daisy Knowles; brother Wesley Brown; nieces Laverne Conley (Lee), Karen Redfern, Joni Conner-Little (Randy), Kelley Crosby (Herb), Tanya Knowles (J.T.), and Becki Ransom (Jason); nephew Donnie Redfern (Kim); and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Brown; sister Melba McLain; and brothers Rodney Phelps and Wilford Phelps.
She worked for well over 50 years as a dental office manager. She loved her career, shopping, and holidays with family.
Services will be held at the Brownlie-Maxwell Chapel, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida on January 22, 2021. Visitation hours are from 5pm until time of service at 6pm.
