It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Anthony Sayre, Jr., a beloved father of Melbourne, Florida on December 20, 2024 at the age of 73.

Born on October 31, 1951 in New York City, New York, he was known for being a phenomenal golfer, pool shark, dart player, horse shoe tosser, and great bowler. He was the type of guy that would do anything for you, always able to find a way to make you laugh, and was incredibly loyal to the people he loved.

He adored his daughters, sons-in-law, and three grandsons. He retired from Harris Government Systems in Palm Bay, Florida after 30 years and has lived in Florida for 40 years.

He is survived by his daughters Tammie (Victor) Arnone, Cristine (Paul) Bettinson; grandsons Austin Forsythe, Chandler Fry, and Paul Bettinson, Jr.; sisters Agnes Dotson, Cathy Neal and brother Eddie Sayre.

He was preceded in death by his father William Sayre, Sr.; mother Agnes Sayre; brother Jimmy Sayre; brothers-in-law Gary Dotson and Rodney Neal.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida, 32901 on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 2 pm.
