William (Bill) “Moose” Reed, 63 of Melbourne, FL formerly of Vandalia, IL passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at Orlando Advent Hospital, Orlando, FL
He was born in Tampa, FL on March 21, 1961 to William and Carrollynn Elmore Reed
Bill is survived by his wife Linda (Picard) Reed, his father William E. Reed, Sr. sister Sheryl (Dean) Larson, his nephew H. Scott Larson (Cassie); his niece, Nicole Larson of Nashville, TN and great-nephew H. Ruger Larson
Brothers-in-law, Robert (Jeanne) Picard, Donald Picard (Lois) Bart Picard, and Mark Picard (Chayna)
Sisters-in-law, Laura (Thomas) Cooper, Debra (Doug) Weaver, Tina (Anthony) Devereaux, Lisa (John) Biekert, Jacqueline (Kevin) Smith, several nieces and nephews.
Lifetime Special friends, Kelvin and Sandy Worker and family, Dave and Lynette White and family, Rich and Heidi Cade and family
Bill worked several years as a Corrections Officer at Vandalia Correctional Center before he promoted and transferred to the Southern Illinois District 4 as a Parole Agent where he retired in July 28, 2011
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved mother Carrollynn, his grandparents Harold (Fuzz) and Esther (Hank) Elmore.
A celebration of life service is being planned for Jan 2025 where details of time and place will be added to the Facebook group William “Moose” Reed at a later date.
