Ann Carr Clark

Born on March 20, 1936 in Buffalo, New York
Departed August 24, 2022 in Palm Bay, Florida

Revelation 21:4 – And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Ann Carr (White) Clark age 86, of Indialantic, FL departed this world for heaven on August 24, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She will be forever in our hearts.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, George C. Clark Jr; Her parents, Jewett and Byrd (Carr) White; and her brother, Charles White. She is survived by her three sons, Dennis (Shawn), James, and Michael (Lorraine); her grandchildren, Racquel, Josh, Tanner, and Ava; her sister, Susan (Larry) Smith, and one great grandchild, Dream.
Ann grew up in Buffalo, NY and Alexandria, VA. She attended a finishing school in Boston, MA. She worked as a secretary and then chose to become a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker.

Ann cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors. She adored being a mother and grandmother. It was her true life-calling and something at which she remained dedicated to throughout her entire life. She not only raised her own three boys but was also “the neighborhood mom” and everyone’s cheerleader. Her home was a gathering place for all the kids. She had the special gift to accept people for exactly who they were and where they were in life. She had a dramatic impact on all those who were lucky enough to experience her wisdom, generosity, and loving nature.
Ann was an excellent chef and enjoyed cooking for her friends and family. The countless family dinners at her home and gourmet dinner parties remain treasured memories.
Ann was an accomplished painter. She enjoyed writing poems and short stories and those who spent time with her knew of her sharp wit and clever wordsmithing. Even when the late-in-life Parkinson’s disease robbed her of many physical abilities, she never lost her excellent sense of humor and continued to entertain those who cared for her with amusing stories and quick-witted jokes until the very end. Some people are just put on the planet to make this world a better place, and Ann Clark was one of those people.
Ann’s last wishes did not include funeral services. A Celebration of Life service for Ann and her recently departed husband, George, will take place on a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Francis Reflections Hospice St Francis Hospice. The family appreciates your love and support. Warm thanks to all of those who cared for her during her battle with illness.
