Frances S. Black, 81, was born June 22, 1940 in Greenville, South Carolina and passed away March 31, 2020 in Melbourne, Florida.

Fran was co-owner of DetectAlert in Melbourne.

She is survived by her husband John W. Black; children, Roy and Roger Black, Mary McClarey and Sarah Ellis; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and brother Robert Sloan.

Private family service will be held at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy should be made to the Brevard Humane Society.
