James R. Biggin

Born on September 13, 1953 in Warren, Ohio
Departed on March 5, 2021, in Palm Bay, Florida

James R. Biggin, “Jim” passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021 after a 2 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born in Warren Ohio, and moved to Florida when he was 26 years old. He founded and operated Biggin’s Furniture in Melbourne for 27 years, and retired in 2006. Unable to fully retire he began working in real estate for National Realty, which kept him connected to the community. Jim enjoyed being involved in the community, and was a member of rotary, and had a long involvement and dedicated service to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He served on the vestry and continued to be a faithful member.
Jim loved to fish and spent many years going to the Florida keys where he enjoyed entertaining others and teaching them the sport that he loved so much. In later life he enjoyed the mountains and lifestyle of western North Carolina. He was a generous and loyal friend, loved by so many. His love of life was evident in his infectious hearty laugh.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Becky (Tarver Miller), and his sons Chad (Maureen), and Ryan. He had a special relationship with his granddaughter Natalie Biggin, who brought him so much happiness in recent year. He was adored by his stepchildren Colin Miller, Taylor Miller and her son Cain. He truly lived up to the name “Papa” to the grandchildren in his life. His brother Bud and his wife Brenda have been a supportive and loving part of his life, along with nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to Holy Trinity Episopal Church. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later time.

A wonderful man and very special friend that was always there for anyone that needed help. He gave more than he received. A fighter that never gave up on his family and friends. He will be missed. Condolences to Becky and the family
