Roberto (Robertico) V. Nuñez I had the enormous pleasure of personally meeting my cousin Marta on Christmas Eve 2001, at the family home in San Juan, PR. She and almost the entire family had gone into exile, even before my birth, and I only knew about them through distant news. But that fact was not an impediment to receive a lot of affection and love from everyone. She was the last one with whom I talked about so many things about Cuba, family history, ethical principles, religion, art, among other topics. Marta will remain forever in my memories with images that I would have wanted to continue living and enjoying, but we all conclude our stay here, and we embark on the path to the Lord. My deepest condolences to her daughters, their husbands, granddaughters, other relatives and friends for their loss. I wish all of you much peace, comfort, courage, strength and above all much love at this difficult time. Always and forever in my heart, and in hope that you can bear a moment as sad as this.
