Rita L. Punzi, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and dear friend passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023 with her family by her side at William Childs Hospice House.
Rita was born in Staten Island, NY on July 16, 1939. She graduated from Curtis High School and completed 2 years of higher education at the University of Vermont. Rita worked for many years at Westerleigh Savings Bank on Staten island and formed numerous lasting friendships.
During her life, Rita loved to travel, spend time with friends and family, go to Broadway shows enjoyed sewing and knitting, and was an avid reader. She resided in Melbourne Beach, Florida for the past 25 years.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Leonard, and her daughter Laurie. She is survived by her loving husband Domenic, sister Janet, daughter Kerry (Edward), son in law Thomas, grandsons Patrick (Khylin), Ryan (Colleen), Patrick (Christina), and six great grandchildren Sawyer, Levi, Gavin, Jameson, Harper, and Connor, and nieces and nephews Joe (Bella), Denise (Phil), Anthony and Gary, and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in July 2024. The family asks that donations be made to the William Childs Hospice House.
