William (Bill) Rusich

Born on June 26, 1946 in Manhattan, New York
Departed June 8, 2022 in Melbourne, Florida

William (Bill) Rusich of Satellite Beach passed away on June 8th, 2022 after a brief illness. Bill was born in Manhattan, NY. He moved to Satellite Beach with his wife Barbara in 1972 when his employer Tensor Engineering relocated to Florida. Bill was a structural draftsman who worked on steel bridge projects that were built all over the country. He retired from Tensor Engineering after 50 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 51 years, his son Joseph Rusich and wife Jennifer, his son John Rusich and wife Aida and his adored grandson Ryan. Bill was truly a family man who was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

After he retired you could always find him working in his yard or at his workbench building a wood project of his own design. He loved taking trips back to New York City with his family to visit his long-time best friends. He loved the bright lights and fast pace of the city. He always said “once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker”.

He had a fantastic sense of humor and made us laugh every day. His memory was incredible and he could tell you what event happened on any given date. He loved history and his wealth of knowledge kept us all on our toes.

He touched so many lives in his 75 years and was so well loved. He will always be missed, but never forgotten. He was one of a kind and his generous spirit will live on in all who loved him.

I worked with Bill for many years and came to know him as a good man... He loved his family and I'm sure they miss him very much...I look forward to enjoying his company again when God brings Bill back to the Earth...Alive and well... That's a promise I believe will happen... The Bible often compares death to sleep. (John 11:11-14) God can awaken the dead, just as we can awaken a person from sleep.
